FL42 was the 'name' used by Ross Brown to promote himself, his occasional colleagues and his work.
Back in 2001, people didn't like dealing with "one man bands". But it's not 2001 any more and the value of the specialist - with back-up - is more-readily accepted.
Changing the name allows me to work with a variety of different people, in different guises, with different "hats" and in different ways.
Trading as a "proper company" didn't - or made it difficult anyway.
